Congratulations to all! We sure did make a splash and let people know we were a force.

The 2004-2005 season began with some changes as we expanded, going from 10 girls to 45!!

1 team to 4 teams in 3 different age groups!!! WOW!

All 4 teams saw different levels of success and had plenty of fun throughout the season……Our 16Black team won the El Paso Sunspots Regional Qualifier along with 3 I10 tournament championships…..14Black won 1 I10 tournament …. 16Red saw various 2nd place finishes and great play and hustle…17Black persevered all season and finished with 3 2nd place finishes and never saw the silver bracket of any single tournament.

The 2005-2006 is upcoming and we look forward to new challenges and adventures as we expand once more!!  Stay tuned……..

The 2005-06 season was everything we expected as a club... we expanded once again, this time growing to 7 teams and 77 girls!! Our first ever team at 13-under did great all season, often having to play against older age teams... they won 2 I10 tournaments and persevered all season long, getting better every day and every tournament... great job girls!! We fielded 2 teams at the 14-under age group and both of them were strong and very competitive throughout the season... Our 15-under group went through some growing pains, often having to play in tough 16-under divisions... they did a great job hanging in there all season and improving as volleyball players... Our 16-under team was strong in their age group and won an I10 tournament during the season... We had 2 teams at 17-under and both of them were a force to be reckoned with in our region... Our 17-Blk team played a very tough schedule, the toughest ever for this group of players and they responded to the challenge very well... they traveled to Phoenix in early January and came away with a 21st place finish out of 64 teams from the Southwest United States... they also traveled to Denver in March and Dallas in April for two of the biggest National Qualifier tournament in the country.... at the Lone Star National Qualifier the team had a rocky first day going 1-2.... on days 2 and 3 though, everything clicked and the team reeled off 6 consecutive victories in impressive fashion.... at the Regional Championship tournament the team lost only to the eventual championship teams....

The 2006-07 season should be another fun ride!!!

This season began with more expansion once again... we grew to 8 teams, 82 players!! The first tournament of the season had 5 of our teams competing in Arizona, our 15-Blk team surprised themselves a little bit and made their parents and coach proud by finishing 14th at the Cactus Classic in Tucson... 16-Blk, 17-Blk, 17-Red, and 18-Blk took to the court in Tempe, Arizona at the Fiesta Classic... our 18-Blk team did a great job all weekend and ended up with the club's first ever top 10 finish at a national tournament of this caliber, finishing 10th overall!! On January 27th we hosted our first ever Sun City Series tournament and it was a smashing success!! It was a great time had by all and 3 of our teams walked away with championships... 18Blk came away with the Division 1 championship, 15Blk won the Division 3 championship, and 13Blk won the Division 4 championship... At the end of the season we got to host the 2007 Sun Country Regional Championship Tournament, we set up the El Paso Convention Center with 16 courts on all 3 halls... it was a lot of hard work but it paid off in the end by seeing all the smiling faces of the players as they enjoyed the best regional tournament ever!! Our 15-Blk team had the highest finish in our club by finishing 3rd and just missing out on a bid, our 18s were next with a 4th place finish....

The 2007-08 season will bring about some minor changes to the club but it should be fun nonetheless!!

This season is beginning with some minor changes beginning at the top. I have decided to spend more time at home with our new baby so I will be coaching our 13s group this season to not travel as much as I have in the past. With that move came the hiring of a new Club Director... Eric Soto. He has great energy and enthusiasm for helping our kids become better volleyball players and I know he will do a great job. Also recently hired to our staff have been Joe and Caroline Urquidi, Joe will be our Tournament Coordinator and Caroline will be our Registrar/Treasurer. Good luck to all!! TRYOUTS ARE RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. This season we formed 8 teams once again ranging from 13s through the 18s age group. Our 18s group won the Cactus Classic in Tucson over MLK weekend! Our 16s and 15s also attended that tournament and represented the club well, both finishing high in the 16s division.

STAY TUNED!!
